THE LANCE McCULLERS JR. FOUNDATION
There are millions of pets across the country without a proper home or caregiver. Numbers show that large breed dogs in shelters have a more difficult time getting adopted and are put to death at a higher rate.
The Lance McCullers Jr. Foundation is a non-profit organization established by Lance and his family to invest, bring awareness, and create programs aimed at advocates for stray and homeless animals across the country. The goal is to support shelters and programs that promote pet adoptions and continue on the journey to make Houston a no-kill city.
Houston Pets Alive is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and providing the resources, education, and programs needed to eliminate the killing of companion animals.
There are 1.2 million stray animals and two open-intake shelters in Houston. Every day we receive a list of animals who are at risk of being put to sleep in less than 24 hours. We save as many animals as we have foster homes available. All animals are spayed and neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. In addition to rescue, we believe in high volume spay and neuter programs, education and political advocacy.

We are a private, nonprofit charity, not affiliated with any other SPCA. We receive no government funding or assistance from other animal organizations, relying solely on donations from businesses, grants and animal lovers to continue our work.
