Lance McCullers Jr. Foundation’s Animal Rescue Internship Program At Rescued Pets Movement
LMJF offers an internship program for those interested in learning and gaining experience in animal welfare with our rescue partner, Rescued Pets Movement Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization that provides a second chance for thousands of homeless dogs and cats through rehabilitation and transport to forever homes in communities throughout the United States that have a demand for adoptable pets.
Program Description:
Interns will complete a rescue round-robin, sampling each focus section for one week. Semester focus placement will be based on performance and success during rounds. Interns will be evaluated and placed into specific focus fields for the semester.
In adherence to CDC Guidelines, masks are required in the RPM offices and clinic unlessfully vaccinated.
Focus Fields Include:
Rescue administration and marketing of shelter animals
Miscellaneous veterinary tasks and working closely with technicians and fosters
Coordination of volunteers and schedule management
Animal evaluation and promotion
Digital content and social media marketing
Oversee medical and behavioral needs of animals
Hands-on animal care and husbandry
Other administrative and animal care tasks as needed
